Blepharoplasty
Blepharoplasty eyelid surgery is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to remove excess skin and soft tissue that appears in the upper and / or lower eyelid with age. This procedure is designed for patients who suffer from excess skin or fat on the eyelid that prevents them from seeing well, who have excess skin and fine wrinkles on the lower eyelid, or have bags and puffiness in the lower eyelid. The purpose of the upper blepharoplasty is to remove the excess skin that protrudes above the crease. The stitches are removed on the fifth postoperative day. Blepharoplasty scar will not be visible once completely healed. The goal of surgery of the lower eyelids or lower blepharoplasty is to improve the contour of the eyelid and improve the transition between the eyelid and cheek. This is done by removing the fat that bulges underneath the eye, removing excess skin and finally tightening the eyelid muscle. The patient is discharged immediately following the procedure. The patient should keep his or her head elevated with two pillows. Most patients who undergo this surgery return to work seven days after surgery. The patient can resume exercise three weeks after surgery. The final results of blepharoplasty will be fully apparent in about two or three months after surgery.
