Fractional CO2 Laser Resurfacing is a method of treatment that is used to correct mild to severe skin problems. The result is firmer, smoother and younger looking skin. Our clinic uses fractional CO2 laser to treat different skin problems: wrinkles, scars, pigmentation defects and uneven skin tone. An ideal candidate for Fractional CO2 Laser treatment is a patient who has problems connected with acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines; uneven skin tone and skin elasticity. The Fractional CO2 laser vaporizes the top layer of the skin. The skin after the treatment becomes smoother and firmer in comparison with the skin before a procedure has been done. Skin lines become milder and skin tone becomes more even. Discomfort varies on the depth of the treatment. For your comfort during the treatment, we may apply a topical anesthetic or inject local anesthetic and/or tumescent anesthetic and prescribe sedative medications to reduce discomfort. After the treatment most patients describe the post-procedure feeling as a bad sunburn for about 12 hours to 2 days. The visible result will be in 6 weeks after the treatment has been done. Some patients will need extra procedures in order to get an ideal result.
